Reverend Marian Royston is a provisional elder in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. Currently, she holds the position of Pastor at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Huntsville, while also serving as Associate Pastor at Center Grove United Methodist Church and Developer for the Northeast District.
Rev. Royston earned her Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary. As a George J. Mitchell Scholar, she obtained a Master of Science in Leadership for Sustainable Rural Development from The Queen’s University of Belfast. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Auburn University.
Before her tenure in Huntsville, Rev. Royston served as the part-time pastor of Mount Olive and Rocky Mount United Methodist Churches in Randolph County, Alabama. Concurrently, she served as a Secondary Social Studies Educator. She also served as the Program Director of the Randolph County Youth Development Initiative, a program she founded to invest in the next generation of leaders in her home county.
Rev. Royston brings to ministry a passion for prayer, spiritual formation, and fostering meaningful relationships between the church and its immediate community In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends. Above all, Rev. Royston sees herself as a child of God, dedicated to spreading the love of Christ throughout the world.
